Until around 1950, Quinta do Monte de S. Sebasti\u00e3o only consisted of several uncultivated plots of land. After that date, the owners of the time converted the land into vineyards with some terraces, planted an olive grove, almond grove and other associated fruit trees, as well as starting the construction of the house with wine presses, where the Quinta wine. Later, an annex was built for a still and also a small house that served as housing for the Quinta's caretaker.<\/p>\n
