VENAKKI WOODWORK WHISKEY demonstrates the intricacies of craftsmanship, cooperage and woodworking at its best. Breaking down the barriers of curiosity, exploration and naivety, we present the result of some unusual and even controversial experiments, with Art & Heart instilled in the process.<\/p>\n
The type of wood, the making of the barrel, new or first fills containing the heritage of previous aging, and even the useful construction of the barrel warehouse, are all expressions of the unique style of our WOODWORK WHISKEY. We dare to say that it is our own soul, the distinctive expression of the Woodwork series.<\/p>\n
The formula is surprisingly simple; the best whiskey is distilled by passionate, hard-working people with an uncompromising work ethic; using the best batches of barley, and then refining it with high performance casks and a perfect Terroir for whiskey maturation.<\/p>\n
Combining a perfect climate for whiskey maturation, our own deep source of Pure Limestone Water, and an exclusive range of wood, toasted and seasoned with the finest wines, we are invited to explore the unique characteristics of each barrel.<\/p>\n
When it comes to the flavor profile of a VENAKKI WOODWORK WHISKEY, the barrel maturation program can contribute up to 80% to the palate and 100% to its color; It is both magic and science, and we believe that combining these two is an art.<\/p>\n

This is an exceptional marriage of Malt & Grain whiskeys, all of which are initially matured individually in American Ex-Bourbon Barrels. \nAlthough this is an unusual whiskey provenance, we rely on our Terroir and our long tradition of making and aging world-renowned wines, and being the birthplace of some of the world's most sought-after barrels when it comes to aging and maturation techniques. .
\nThe Atlantic influence and the warm temperate climate throughout the year; of hot days and cold nights (daily temperatures typically varying between 15\u00ba C to 40\u00ba C \/ 60\u00ba F to 105\u00ba F) means that our whiskey is extracted from the barrel with all the qualities for which we prepare it.
\nAs Pioneers of Portuguese Whiskey, we explore the infinite possibilities of our cooperage with our BESPOKE OAK CASK \u2013 oak naturally seasoned in the open air for up to 36 months, and which can simultaneously combine American and European oak staves with different toasts for greater complexity.
\nOur Rare Portuguese Barrel, whose name announces its rarity and provenance, already contained good wines such as Port, Madeira, Douro, Muscat of Alexandria or Brandy, to name a few, and are the backbone of the unique expressions of our WOODWORK WHISKEY.
