Located in the heart of Alto Alentejo, in Alter do Ch\u00e3o, Herdade Papa Leite dates back to the 17th century, a landmark that can still be found on the estate today.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Filipe Barreiros Cardoso, passionate about the area and the property, acquired Herdade Papa Leite to fulfill his dream of producing high quality products.<\/div>\n

This dream was only possible to achieve with the support of his family and the team he works with.<\/p>\n

For centuries, the exploitation of cereals, olive groves, holm oaks and cork oaks were the main activities to which the estate was dedicated.<\/p>\n

With the reproduction of the already existing Alentejana breed and the introduction of the Aberdeen-Angus breed, the estate saw its activity revitalized and, today, the approximately 320 hectares, in addition to raising cattle, also produce wine and olive oil.<\/p>\n
