Quinta da Pacheca, one of the best-known farms in the Douro region, was also one of the first properties to bottle wine under its own brand. It is mentioned for the first time in a document dated April 1738, where it is referred to as \u201cPacheca\u201d, as it is owned by D. Mariana Pacheco Pereira. But it was only in 1903, when D. Jos\u00e9 Freire de Serpa Pimentel decided to develop his interest in oenology, that he bought the farm and began to seriously dedicate himself to the risky business of winemaking. Grapes: Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional from Quinta de Vale de Abra\u00e3o, vineyards in the Pinh\u00e3o River Valley and vineyards in Vale da Vilari\u00e7a.<\/p>\n

It is a wine with a deep violet color. The aroma is very fruity, with evident notes of ripe black fruit, such as blueberries and black currants, while being fresh with oral notes. In the mouth it is concentrated, fatty, with present tannins, notes of chocolate and implicit freshness. Long and very persistent finish.<\/p>\n
