The first historical reference to Ventozelo dates back to 1288, but around 1500, due to placement in the Cistercian monastery of S. Pedro das Águias, which came into the possession of the nobles of Casa do Poço, in Lamego, who founded it as a Quinta.
This is one of the largest and oldest Quintas in the Douro. It passed through different hands over the centuries, hands that shaped and transformed it into what it is today.

In 2014, Quinta de Ventozelo was acquired by Gran Cruz, the largest Port wine exporting company in Portugal, which had been processing its grapes since 2011.
From that moment on, Gran Cruz's strategy seeks to value the enormous potential of the property. This involves not only working on the richness and diversity of its wines, but also investing in olive oil, wine tourism and nature tourism.
In total involvement with this place and its terroir, all the work developed has as its main focus to privilege and preserve its simplicity and authenticity.

Origin Portugal

Aos aromas característicos do bosque, da horta e do pomar, junta-se o aroma vinoso da aguardente vínica que compõe este Gin, que percorre toda a prova, conferindo-lhe suavidade e persistência.
