On the rugged and steep slopes of the Douro, through the blessing of the sun and the art of man, the vine produces nectar worthy of the table of the gods.<\/p>\n

The archaeological fame of the Douro predates the wine industry. In fact, people passed through this region who discovered the wealth of the subsoil. These exploited gold and tin, which were not only abundant, but could be extracted by rudimentary means used in prehistoric times.<\/p>\n

From tin to wine was one step. And it is on the left bank of the Pinh\u00e3o river, recognized as ancestral, that \u201cQuinta do Estanho\u201d is located, known by the name of the mineral that proliferated there.
