It all started in 1918, when Manoel Domingues Po\u00e7as J\u00fanior, born in the center of the hustle and bustle of Port Wine, decided to found his own business.
\nIt was August 15th, just a few months before the Armistice. Manoel Po\u00e7as was 30 years old and had some work experience in the area. With his uncle, he founded a company to sell brandies to large Port wine producers. Shortly afterwards, it established the headquarters that it remains today, in Vila Nova de Gaia.
\nFirst his uncle, then his brothers, his wife, his grandchildren: the entire Po\u00e7as family came to share his passion for wine, combining respect for tradition with an open mind to the innovation brought by new generations.
\nToday, with three farms in the best locations in the Douro Demarcated Region, Po\u00e7as has total control of the quality of its wines. And family involvement is stronger than ever.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

Tasting notes: Deep ruby. Black fruit, jam and spices. Wine of high concentration, silky and elegant with balanced acidity. Full-bodied, with notes of black fruit and spices, with a long and persistent finish.<\/p>\n
