The history of 100HECTARES wines begins in the early 1970s, when the Br\u00e1s e Cigarro family \u2013 with a huge passion for the Douro region \u2013 made large investments in the purchase and renovation of properties located in the Douro \u2013 Baixo Corgo sub-region. The family's farms are the origin of their wines, and production is made exclusively from grapes from their properties, something that is at the heart of the family's production philosophy.<\/p>\n

For some time, the majority of production made from their vineyards was sold to competitors in the region, but in 2009, Andr\u00e9 and Filipe Br\u00e1s wanted to make a profit from their own production of raw materials, making wine with an estimated value of between 30% and 40% of grapes. Some surplus production is transferred to producers in the region, and full production under our own brand is not yet possible.<\/p>\n

100 HECTARES Touriga Franca, structure and elegance, presents a deep violet color. On the nose, it impresses with its intensity and concentration of red fruit aromas in perfect harmony with soft floral notes. In the mouth, it presents an intense start, evolving into a wine with an elegant profile, with excellent volume in the mouth and tannins with a silky texture, all very well integrated with notes of red fruits. It ends in perfect balance, with extraordinary persistence and full of freshness.
